Dan was working in Haiti for Compassion International when the earthquake hit. He was in the Hotel Montana which was reduced to ruble. After about 65 hours he was rescued. David, the videographer for this Compassion trip is still missing. Please be in prayer for him. Here is his story....

Ever heard of Dave Ramsey? He's a financial counselor, a New York Times best selling author, radio talk show host, has a Fox Business New Channel show, he's well, you can read more about him here on his site.
Anyways, not only does he give financial advice, he provides biblical reasoning about money. Basically it all comes down to Proverbs 22:7 which says, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." We are not suppose to live in debt!
He has a 13 week course called Financial Peace University. During this course, you will understand why you need to get out of debt, why you need to invest, etc. In fact, you can read about the different course here.

Let it snow!
Here are some pictures of our latest snowfall. This is so unusual to get snow, let alone right before Christmas. It just may be a White Christmas after all!

With that being said, it was a very good thing that Pastor Dave canceled church this morning. The snow drifts were very high (almost a foot in some places!) and the parking lot is very icy!
